Founded in 2001 in Tokyo by Hiroki Nakamura, visvim fuses Americana — workwear, denim, moccasins — with traditional Japanese craftsmanship. Nakamura travels the world to rediscover forgotten techniques: natural dyeing, hand weaving, vegetable-tanned leather. The brand started with footwear before expanding to a full wardrobe and accessories. The FBT moccasins, inspired by First Nations designs, became cult objects. Kanye West and John Mayer are among the most visible devotees.
