History

Founded in 2003 by Dave Munson, Saddleback Leather was born from a sketch in a Mexican leather shop. Munson wanted a bag with no breakable parts: full grain leather, copper rivets, waxed linen thread, no zippers. The dedicated factory opened in León, Mexico, in 2008. The 100-year warranty and the slogan 'They'll fight over it when you're dead' sum up the brutalist approach. Each piece is designed to age, not to wear out.
