History
Yoshida & Co. was founded in 1935 by Kichizo Yoshida in Tokyo. The Porter brand was born in 1962, with the philosophy that a single artisan sews each bag from start to finish. In 1983, the Tanker collection, inspired by MA-1 flight jackets, became a timeless classic. The 1953 Elegant Bag had already attracted international attention with its adjustable zippered gusset. Everything is manufactured in Japan, without exception.
