Mcusta
The samurai heritage of Seki transformed into contemporary folding knife excellence.
Philosophy
Japanese folding knives from Seki City. Damascus steel, traditional techniques, EDC-friendly designs.
History
Founded in 2000 by Shoji Hasegawa under Marusho Industry Inc, Mcusta was born from the success of manufacturing Silky Damascus-bladed scissors. Marusho, established in 1964, had been manufacturing Silky scissors for nearly 50 years before creating the Mcusta brand specializing in Japanese folding knives. Based in Seki City, the vibrant hub of Japanese cutlery manufacturing since the middle of the 13th century, Mcusta combines the techniques and skills of ancient Japanese sword smiths passed down for centuries with modern technology. The brand's philosophy revolves around classic Japanese design, precision machining, and high-quality craftsmanship.
