Founded in 1994 by Taichi Fujimatsu in Osaka, master-piece was born where functionality and urban sensibility merge. Fujimatsu wanted to re-explore the purpose behind fashion and create something combining high-level design with functionality. While manufacturers were moving overseas, master-piece made the counter-current decision in 2008 to secure the future of its production by establishing its BASE factories in two leading Japanese production centers: Osaka and Toyoka City in Hyogo Prefecture. This approach allows the brand to master the art of backpacks and travel accessories with expert craftsmanship, earning a reputation for the durability and avant-garde nature of its collections.
