German fine writing heritage in pocket format for over a century.
Philosophy
German pocket pen maker since 1883. Sport series, compact fountain pens. Heritage brand revived.
History
The Kaweco brand originated in 1883 with the foundation of the 'Heidelberger Federhalter Fabrik' (Heidelberg Dip Pen Factory) by Carl Luce and Friedrich Enßlen. In 1889, entrepreneurs Heinrich Koch and Rudolph Weber took over the business and set up a new production facility in Handschuhsheim, near Heidelberg. The name 'Kaweco' comes from their initials: KOch, WEber and COmpany. They marketed their products under the brands Perkeo, Omega and Kaweco. After decades of history and interruptions, the heritage Kaweco brand was revived, perpetuating the German tradition of fine writing with its famous Sport series since 1911.
