History
The family business Martin Magnusson & Co. was founded in 1936 by Martin Magnusson in the small village of Hestra, in Småland. He started by making work gloves for loggers in this rugged region. In 1937, when the first skiers came to the local Isaberg mountain, he created warm leather ski gloves, marking the beginning of a reputation that has endured for four generations. Now run by the third and fourth generation of Magnussons, Hestra designs and develops all its products at the headquarters in Hestra village, manufactures in its own factories and personally sources raw materials.
