History
In 1897, Clinton C. Filson opened his store on Seattle's First Avenue to outfit prospectors heading to the Klondike. Pioneer Alaska Clothing and Blanket Manufacturers supplied clothing, blankets, boots and sleeping bags to survive the Yukon's unforgiving conditions. Over 125 years later, Filson continues manufacturing approximately 70% of its products in its Seattle factory, perpetuating authentic American craftsmanship.
